Shebara is a new luxury hotel by Red Sea Global (RSG), the multi-project developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations, The Red Sea and Amaala. Located on Sheybarah Island in the thriving Al Wajh Lagoon of the Red Sea, off the coast of western Saudi Arabia. The resort is home to iconic stainless steel orbs constructed over the water. Shebara is scheduled to open in summer 2024.
The new hotel resort will feature a spectacular 30- to 40-meter reef drop-off, close to the beach, providing the ultimate spot for exploring ocean life. The resort contains 73 keys, including overwater and beach villas. Guests will arrive either by a 45-minute boat ride from the mainland or 20 minutes by seaplane.
Arriving from the south, guests will see the first stainless steel villas on the horizon, representing a string of pearls. A reception building at the center, forms the “pendant”.
The resort features both a family pool, and an adult-only pool, which includes ‘lily pad’ seating terraces with panoramic views of the sunset. Guests can choose from two specialty restaurants. Shebara also includes a spa and fitness center nestled among the island’s sand dunes.
Additionally, the furthest island will be available for booking exclusively, with a dedicated jetty for private yacht mooring. The island includes a four-bedroom villa, plus three one-bedroom villas, as well as a private beach and barbeque area.
Developed by Killa Design, cafeful thought was given to designing around reflections of nature. Each space flows with its environment, as with the stainless steel villas reflecting the colors and surface patterns of the ocean, and the intense colors of the sky as they change throughout the day.
